Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I personalize this candle?
A: Add a note at checkout with the town, harbor or island you want on the label. Every candle in the order carries that name.

Q: Why is there a minimum of 6?
A: Each name is printed as its own small run, so six is the smallest batch that makes sense. It is also right for a wedding weekend or a family trip.

Q: What is a good souvenir from a coastal New England trip?
A: Something with the town's name and a lobster on it says exactly where you were. It gets kept long after the T-shirt fades.

Q: Does the candle smell like the ocean?
A: This one is Bamboo Forest, an earthy mix of bamboo, cypress and musk that feels like a shoreline with pines behind it. For a fresh ocean scent, look at our #1 Ocean Citrus Salt designs.

Q: Does this work as a wedding welcome gift?
A: A candle with the wedding town on it makes a thoughtful welcome bag gift. Six is an easy starting point for a bridal party.

Q: Can the jar be reused?
A: Yes. Once the wax is gone, warm water loosens the last of it, and the jar works for shells, matches or small things.
