The first married Christmas is the one where two sets of traditions have to negotiate. This glossy ceramic heart marks it before anyone decides whose family gets Christmas Eve: "Our First Christmas As Mr & Mrs."

Hand pressed in the USA with the graphic fused under a glossy glaze, and deliberately left undated so it fits a June wedding or a November one. Newlyweds, a wedding gift with a December delivery, a first tree in a first apartment: this is the one.

Why You'll Love It

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this ornament have a year on it?
A: No, and that is the point. Year-stamped first-Christmas ornaments are useless if the wedding date and the shopping date fall in different years, so this one stays undated.

Q: Is this a good wedding gift if the wedding is not in December?
A: It works for any wedding month, because the first Christmas as a married couple happens regardless of when the ceremony was. Couples married in spring often value it more, not less.

Q: What do you give newlyweds who have everything on the registry?
A: Registries cover the household but almost never the sentimental. A keepsake marking the first married Christmas fills the gap the registry deliberately leaves open.

Q: What is it made of?
A: Glossy ceramic, hand pressed, with the graphic permanently fused beneath the glaze. It is built to still look new on their twentieth tree.

Q: Can this be personalized with names or a date?
A: This version is not personalized, which is what lets it ship straight away. Couples who want the date recorded usually write it on the back of the gift box.

Q: Is it suitable for a couple who married later in life?
A: The wording is about the marriage rather than about being young, so it reads the same at a second wedding as a first. "Mr & Mrs" is the only assumption it makes.
