The friendship survived the move, the time zones and the terrible year of nobody calling. This ceramic heart carries the line: "Side By Side Or Miles Apart Friends Are Always Close At Heart."

Hand pressed in the USA with the graphic fused under a glossy glaze, it lasts far longer than the card that came with it. Care packages, December birthdays, a friend overseas: this is the one.

Why You'll Love It

"Side By Side Or Miles Apart" — the phrase people actually quote
Glossy ceramic, hand pressed, smooth all the way to the edge
Fused graphic beneath the glaze, so it will not lift or peel
2.875" across — reads clearly from a few feet back
Light enough that a thin branch holds it without sagging
Back on the tree every December, saying the same thing
Designed and hand pressed in the USA

Perfect Gift For

Friends overseas, military families, care packages, a friend two time zones out, December birthdays, holiday swaps, and the person you can go three months without calling and pick up mid-sentence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a good gift for a friend who moved overseas?
A: Pick something light, unbreakable in transit when padded, and meaningful without being bulky. A 2.875" ceramic ornament ticks all three and costs little to send.

Q: Is the ornament heavy enough to weigh down a tree branch?
A: No. It has the heft of a small ceramic tile rather than a solid block, so an ordinary branch holds it level.

Q: What do you get a friend you have not seen in years?
A: Something that acknowledges the gap without apologising for it works better than an extravagant catch-up gift. This wording does exactly that in one line.

Q: What is a good gift for two friends who live in different cities?
A: Buying the pair a matching ornament each is the easiest version of a shared gift. They hang the same heart on two trees, which is the whole joke of the wording.

Q: Is an ornament a good long-distance friendship gift for a birthday in December?
A: December birthdays get shortchanged, and an ornament is one of the few gifts that benefits from the timing. It goes straight on the tree the same week.

Q: What do you give a friend when you cannot be together for the holidays?
A: Send something that will be in the room you are missing. An ornament hangs at eye level all season, which is more presence than a card manages.
